THE START OF KAI BLUE
Kai Blue launched in early 2023 with a simple goal: create exceptional bamboo clothing for families seeking unmatched comfort and quality. First carefully selecting pieces from other brands. In just a few months, our passion inspired us to create and produce our own line—designed for softness, quality and durability.
Zippers!
Many brands have white or plain zippers that don't zip smoothly and might even break. We researched and found the best manufacturers. We use YKK zippers--and they're dyed specifically to match the cuff colors perfectly. They even have our sea turtle mascot on the pull. Some of our apparel have two-way zippers starting from the top or the bottom for easy diaper changes.
Stitching!
If you're a Kai Blue customer, you know the quality of our stitching. We recently designed concealed stitching on the neckline.
Foldover Cuffs!
We use foldover cuffs on both the hands and feet (depending on style) which have our sea turtle mascot as foot grippies to prevent slipping.
We also have real pockets, functioning bamboo drawstrings, tagless and soft side tags, some heart-shaped pockets, snap bottoms for easy diaper changes, and more... The list goes on and on and we are tirelessly working to develop even better products. We could save a lot of money to go the cheap route--but we simply won't do it because quality matters most to you—and to us.
So what's going on with the bamboo industry?
The bamboo market is crowded and costly. Quality fabric is expensive, shipping and tariffs are steep, and production takes months of sampling and color-matching. Many new brands launch, but just as many close each week. We test competitors’ products, and with confidence, can say our quality ranks among the top.
